Looking after a deck

What wears outdoor timber.

Every deck is different. These are the things worth keeping an eye on, and we can advise on what yours needs.

  • Sun

    UV dries and greys timber over time, especially on exposed decks.

  • Water

    Standing water and damp corners are hard on timber and fixings.

  • Loose boards

    Lifting, loose or split boards are worth fixing early.

  • The finish

    A regular clean and re-oil helps keep the surface protected.
